Alba, who was pictured out today in Beverly Hills wearing skin tight jeans and a sheer top, made the revelation in a new magazine interview.
The Fantastic Four star, 31, says she puts herself through a strenuous and very specific exercise regime to keep her derrière in tip top shape.
Speaking to Self magazine, Alba said: 'Bubble butts, like my dad and I have, run in my family!

'To tone up, I do jump lunges and squat jumps. They make me want to vomit, but they're the best for getting my legs in shape.'
Jessica also said that she is getting quite talented at rustling up culinary delights.
She added: 'I  took cooking class, so now I make some pretty bomb Indian food. We love vindaloo.'
Jessica was wearing her favourite pair of Current/Elliott's 'The Stiletto' jeans for her outing today.
Scattered with a stellar constellation of stars, the threads have become a favourite of all-American A-listers with a patriotic bent.
The jeans, a fashion-forward alternative to plain and classic blue-denim styles, have also been spotted on the likes of Dakota Fanning, Khloe Kardashian and Rachel Bilson.
Alba completed her look with a bright purple tuxedo jacket, mirrored shades and a pair of strappy heels.
