Cannonball! Jennifer Lopez makes a splash in a yellow bikini as she joins her twins in the pool

Jennifer Lopez is famous for parading her curvaceous body in bikinis, while traveling the world on tour.
But today the 42-year-old entertainer and mother-of-two got up from her poolside lounge chair and jumped into action, joining her boyfriend Casper Smart and two children for a frolic in their luxury Miami hotel pool.
Rather than taking a dainty step into the pool, J-Lo opted for a dramatic canonball jump, making a huge splash as she leaped in the water wearing her sunglasses and a striking yellow bikini.

Action woman: The 43-year-old entertainer got up from her lounge chair and into the water

J-Lo was quickly joined by her daughter Emme, who clung to her mother in the pool.
Wearing a frilly red two piece, the four-year-old then climbed on the shoulders of Casper, J-Lo's 25-year-old backing dancer boyfriend.
Casper proceeded to balance the delighted child on his hands in a number of different positions, showing Emme has clearly inherited her mother's balance and coordination.

The muscular 25-year-old had no trouble lifting little Emme high into the air, as her brother Max swam and played nearby.
Before jumping into the water, Lopez lounged poolside next to Casper, chatting to her boyfriend while while watching her children play.
Twins Emme and Maximilian are Lopez's children by her most recent ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Born in February 2008, the twins were introduced to the public in the March 11, 2008 issue of People, for which the magazine paid a reported $6 million.
The photographs of the twins became the most expensive celebrity picture ever taken at the time.
Lopez arrived in Miami earlier in the today, in preparation for what will be the last two performances of her world tour with Enrique Iglesias.

The singer made her way to the hotel with her much younger boyfriend and children, as well as a huge entourage in tow.
Lopez has been known to run the risk of many a wardrobe malfunction by parading her famous curves in risqué outfits.
But it was a relatively demure maxi dress that literally almost tripped the 43-year-old entertainer up as she arrived in Miami today.

The I'm Real singer held the hand of her four-year-old daughter Emme, who accidentally stepped on her mother's dress as they made their way to the hotel.
Looking fabulous but somewhat flustered in the heat, J-Lo wore a floor-length black-and-white maxi dress and carried a large white designer J-Lo handbag.
The dancer and recording artist accessorised with large gold hoop earrings and tinted gold sunglasses, and wore her hair in a bun on top of her head.

Little Emme was close behind, also wearing her hair in a bun. She wore matching grey track top and pants and carrying a huge stuffed toy dog.
Casper and Max were also close at hand, Max on the shoulders of a male member of the entourage.
In January this year, Lopez returned as judge on the eleventh season of American Idol, earning a reported $20 million.

The season was not as successful as its previous ten seasons, however, and for the first time it was not the most-watched prime-time television show. J-Lo announced she was leaving the show in mid-July.
News came this week that Lopez will be one of the first guests on Katie Couric's new talk show, in a line-up which includes Barbara Streisand and Jessica Simpson.
Couric's new show Katie, which launches September 10, is expected to talk to J-Lo about life after American Idol.
The Out of Sight actress, who recently announced her resignation from American Idol, said she will be focusing on her film career in the future.

With multiple tour buses in the background, hotel staff worked hard to bring endless piles of tour luggage towards the hotel.
She told The Associated Press: 'I do miss doing films. I feel like the last two years with Idol, I've really, really focused on, you know, my music. ... It was all kind of very synergistic, it worked really well together.

'But [film] is something that I really loved, it's how I kind of started in this business, and it doesn't leave you. I am an actress, I need to do that, too.
In 2013, Lopez will star in the thriller Parker, a film adaption of Donald Westlake's book Flashfire.
